| 2 lb | ground chuck |
| 1 | bell pepper, minced |
| 1 pkg | onion soup mix |
| 4 cloves | garlic, minced |
| 2 handfuls | grated Parmesan |
| 2 cup | Italian bread crumbs |
| 1 | egg |
| salt, pepper |
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Sauté the minced onion, pepper, and garlic in a little oil or butter.
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix well, adding liquid (water or milk) as necessary. Shape into a loaf and place in a roasting pan.
Optionally, pour tomato sauce or gravy over the meatloaf. Cover the pan with tin foil, place in oven, and bake for 1 1⁄2–2 hours.
