| 3 1⁄2 cup | AP flour |
| 1⁄4 cup | sugar |
| 3 tbsp | baking powder |
| 1⁄4 tsp | salt |
| 1 tsp | ground cinnamon |
| 1 1⁄2 cup | chocolate chunks |
| 1⁄2 cup | chopped nuts |
| 1 stick | butter |
| 1 1⁄4 cup | milk |
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Sift all dry ingredients together. Cut cold butter into small pieces and mix into dry ingredients until coarse and sandy. There should still be small lumps of butter. Add milk and continue to mix until almost completely combined. Stir in chocolate and nuts and finish mixing. Do not overmix. It is okay if there is still some unmixed flour.
Turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface. Knead about 10 times, then bring together and roll out to a 1 inch thickness. Using a 2 1⁄2 in biscuit cutter, or a small glass, cut out circles of dough. Collect and roll scraps and repeat until all dough is used.
Place the circles on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with jams, honey, or fresh whipped cream.
